Data Recovery Pricing Matrix Why won't my computer see the hard drive when it starts? A chain reaction occurs every time you start your computer. One of the most critical processes in this chain is the hard drive responding to the read requests and providing readable data to the processor. If even a small portion of the data is not readable, the computer may halt and be unable to continue the boot process. HOME | Security Overview | Data Recovery Data Recovery The unthinkable has happened. You start your computer and it fails. A cryptic message is displayed on the screen that says there's no boot device or Windows cannot load. You try again, and again, always coming back to that message. You’ve heard all the chatter about backing up your data, but just never thought about it at a convenient time. Or, you have a backup, but it’s missing the critical documents that you created yesterday. There's a chance you can recreate the files you’ve apparently lost, but it will take a serious amount of time, and you need those documents now! And, what about your email? There’s a lot of documentation and recorded conversations in that email and most just cannot be recreated. When your computer fails to boot, there are several possibilities. In many cases, software configuration errors or corruption will prevent your computer from reading the hard drive and starting normally. ABS has software tools that allow us to bypass this boot process and in most cases, recover your data for a fraction of the replacement cost. We have offered this service to our existing customers for years, but have never advertised this service for one simple reason. There is a lot of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) surrounding data loss and many companies that have been successful preying on those desperate to recover their data. Because of what ABS stands for, we've hesitated to appear to sanction this type of business practice. But, we're seeing an increasing number of drive failures as we all try to get just a little more out of our computers. Have you already taken your computer to one of the big box retailers and been told that recovery is not possible? Get a second opinion! We have recovered data that was supposedly unrecoverable, as the retailer was more focused on selling a new computer than recovering the data. As a service provider, we have no such conflict of interest. Do you need help now? Contact us or go here to learn more about our data recovery services, including our charges and turnaround times. Because we're local, we can usually provide faster service than most data recovery services. If you don’t need us now, bookmark this page for the day when you do. |
